Wild Spirit Journeys Reviews:

Here's what our guests have said about our trips:

"As a Child of the Desert, I am completely out of my "comfort zone" on water. Most Tohono O'odham my age can't swim—there are no bodies of water or running rivers on our Southern Arizona homeland. Yet, I feel that I've never been extended such brotherhood and genuine affection as demonstrated by the gray whales of Baja. In greeting, acknowledging, and touching me, they verified the cultural teaching that no hierarchy exists in the community—plants, animals, and humans are equals. Indeed, my State of Wellness (the critical balance of physical, mental, and spiritual health) was greatly enhanced by the experiences of my Wild Spirit Journeys adventure. Thank you, Katie and John."
                — Angelo Joaquin Jr., Member, Coyote Clan, Tohono O'odham Nation (2015)

"Thanks a million for a terrific, wonderful, stupendous, mah-velous, beyond belief trip!"
                — Blythe and Tom Strong, Tucson, Arizona (2010)

"I expected to enjoy this trip, but I had no idea how great it would be. I expected to see whales, but I never thought I could touch one."
                — Allan Wright, Tucson Arizona (2013)

"The trip we took to Baja with WSJ was incredible. John, Katie, and the local guides are knowledgeable about the animals, plants, and history of the Baja Sur region, which greatly enhanced our experience. The interactions we had with the whales, dolphins, and birds were AMAZING! We participated rather than just observed. We are going on this trip again!"
                — Mary Topmiller, Tucson, Arizona (2012, 2013)

"In March of 2010, John and Katie organized a whale watching trip to Baja for ten of us seasoned Mexico travelers. We spent time in Loreto, San Ignacio Bay, and Scammon's Lagoon among many other wonderful places. The group got to interact with Blue, Fin, and Grey Whales and had the trip of our lives. We have lead tours across Mexico for over 25 years, many of them for the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, and this trip was perfectly organized and executed. Don't miss any opportunity to travel with John and Katie. They are fun and very knowledgeable about the ocean's creatures."
                — Ron & Sue Bridgemon, Tucson, Arizona (2010)

"This is what I loved about Wild Spirit Journeys: Our trip planners (John and Katie), whales, dolphins, the food, whales, transportation, and did I mention whales?! I almost wanted to call this company 'Kindred Spirit' because all of the individuals involved were 'on board' in making this trip an amazing, magical experience. This is what I didn't particularly care for on this trip: Leaving."
